    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“Can the Doctor write?”............................................. Book-Expo 2007 (Booth 1846)

Pompano Beach, Florida May 3, 2007: Spurred by the nurse’s query, I looked over the order-sheet she handed
me. The swirls of the consonants I had written appeared to have pulled the adjoining vowels flat. Instead of the
medical directions I intended, there was drawn only a knotted string. Though the nurse had only questioned the
legibility of my writing, the tone of her voice challenged even the content of what was written.

When I first sat to write Cry WaterColors my intent was to entertain a personal creative impulse. It did not matter if a
knotted string was all that I created. When the imagined characters I wrote began to share their passions, I cared
that anyone reading would feel as I did. It became important that every word interact with each other, in content as
much as in rhythm. When completed, I stowed the loose pages of the book in a shoe-box and hid it inside the closet.
A few years later I recalled the nurse’s challenge and realized that Cry WaterColors was more than a knotted
string; its content has value beyond a personal impulse. At the NYC Book Expo I intent to share its value with those
who care to stop by my booth (#1846).

Reviews:  “…Cry Watercolors is poetic, lyrical and extremely moving. His keen eye and mind for detail creates a
canvas so rich, characters so deep - it's magical to read.”
……………………………………………..Arthur Wooten, Author (On Picking Fruit) and playwright

“…It’s a poetic love story about looking inside yourself and facing your demons. Beautifully written gorgeously
layered, Cry WaterColors is a treat for the mind and the imagination.”
………..Jamieson Wolf: book reviewer (The BookPedler) and author (Electric Pink)
